The Youth and Government team took their skills to the state level last Friday, January 25. With events like legislation, media, judicial, executive, trial court, state affairs, governor’s cabinet, among many others, about 30 students took the weekend to run a government.

“Youth and Government is such a special club. It’s also a fun way to miss school and learn about business and government types of atmospheres,” Sarah Gianotti, 12, said.

“I have learned so much about integrity and leadership because of some of the difficulties we encountered during the conference,” Sierra Scott, 12,  said.

“I learned a lot about Texan law and how to think on the spot. My favorite memory of the event was listening to the stories that everyone shared, and sharing the stories I had encountered during the day,” Daniel Garraway,12, said.

“Overall, it’s a really special program and it looks great on college applications. Wensmann is so dedicated and loves to have fun with our delegation,” sophomore Maia-Eden Vollbrecht said.
