Halloween is just around the corner and what better way to get into the Halloween spirit than to watch scary movies. COVID-19 has limited many social gatherings, so let’s be safe and have a scary movie marathon instead. Here are my top 5 Horror movie recommendations to watch this Halloween:

The Conjuring: This is a supernatural horror film released back in 2013. The Conjuring is loosely based on the real life events that Ed and Lorraine Warren experienced. This film features the two paranormal investigators who go to visit the Perron family, who had been experiencing disturbing events at their farmhouse.

Annabelle: Annabelle was released in 2014 and is a rated-R supernatural horror film. This movie focuses the story of a doll named Annabelle told by Ed and Lorraine Warren. The doll of beauty turns into a conduit for ultimate evil when blood dripped onto her due to a group of cultists invading John and his wife’s home.

Halloween: There are many remakes and sequels to the original Halloween movie which was released back in 1978. This movie follows the story of a murderer named Micheal Myers who has escaped while being transferred to his court date and returned to his hometown in Illinois seeking his next victims.

Scream: The Scream was released in 1996 and is a film series based on a masked knife maniac who goes on a killing spree in the town of Woodsboro. This movie is rated-R and has elements of comedy and mystery making it a great watch for you and your older family members.

: The Texas Chainsaw massacre is another R-rated horror thriller film released in 1974. Sally and her brother Franklin set out with a group of friends to visit her grandfather’s grave. After a detour to their family’s farmhouse they fall victim to a group of cannibals and they must do everything in their power to escape from them. Will they make it out alive?
